What I learned chaperoning a middle school field trip

lunch noteFinding a note in your lunch is cool regardless of your age.

Whoever thought herding cats was hard never had to herd middle school students through a museum.

Some middle school students have a poor attitude. They will fall behind while touring the exhibits because they “don’t like museums.” They will roll their eyes at you, and sigh dramatically when you ask them to keep up with the group. Don’t let these kids get to you. Keep an eye on them because they are your responsibility, but remember to engage the kids who are enjoying themselves. They make it worth it.
